Sign in with GitHub, Google, or Microsoft, then pick a username, display name, and role. After creating your profile, connect your Stripe account from the dashboard to go live. Your public profile page will be at buymetokens.ai/your-username.

No. Anyone can tip you without creating an account. They just need a valid payment method. Checkout is handled through Stripe's secure payment page.

buymetokens.ai charges a 5% platform fee on each transaction, plus Stripe's standard processing fees of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. We donate 20% of our platform revenue (1% of each transaction) to permanent carbon removal through Stripe Climate. This comes entirely from our cut — it does not reduce the builder's payout.

For example, on a $10 tip: Stripe takes $0.59 (2.9% + $0.30), buymetokens.ai takes $0.50 (5% — of which $0.10 goes to carbon removal), and you receive $8.91.

The builder (the profile owner) pays all fees. The supporter always pays the exact listed price ($5, $10, or $40 depending on the tier). Fees are deducted from the payout before it reaches your Stripe account.

Payouts are handled by Stripe and follow their standard payout schedule. After a tip is completed, funds are transferred to your connected Stripe account. Stripe typically pays out within 2-7 business days, depending on your country and account settings.

Stripe Connect is Stripe's platform for marketplace-style payments. It allows buymetokens.ai to accept payments from supporters and automatically route the funds to you — minus the platform and processing fees.

You need to connect a Stripe account before your profile goes live. Once connected, your profile will be active and ready to accept tips.

Go to your dashboard and click "connect stripe". You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding flow where you can create a new Stripe account or connect an existing one.

Yes. All payment processing is handled directly by Stripe — a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor (the highest level of certification). buymetokens.ai never sees or stores your credit card details, bank account numbers, or other sensitive financial data.

Yes. You can disconnect your Stripe account from your dashboard at any time. Your profile will become inactive and won't accept tips until you reconnect.

Tokens represent a way to support builders for their work. When someone tips you tokens, it's a direct monetary contribution deposited to your connected Stripe account. Tiers are $5 (500K tokens), $10 (1M tokens), and $40 (5M tokens).

Stripe handles payment disputes. If a supporter files a chargeback, Stripe's standard dispute process applies, including their $15 dispute fee. We recommend ensuring your profile clearly describes what supporters are tipping for.
